(Eagle News)– Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) revealed an intelligence report that Manila received a bomb threat a day before the Roxas night market blast in Davao City.
The document was issued by MIG-24, a military intelligence group, and was given to other police intel and agencies concerned with the report.
According to the document, the group monitored a plan of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) to do a bombing in Manila.
“Hindi natin pinagsasantabi ang mga ganitong klaseng impormasyon, at ang ginagawa natin dito ay binibigay natin ito sa mga units na maaaring makapag-kumpirma kung totoo nga o hindi,” AFP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla said.
On the other hand, the Philippine Coast Guard boosted its monitoring and surveillance operations around Manila Bay in case of possible threats on major public places near the bay.
