(Eagle News)– Authorities announced on Monday that they may release water from Ipo Dam as the water level reached its spilling level.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) noted that as of 6 a.m. on Monday, the level reached 100.95 meters, just a meter less below the 101 meter spilling level.
Residents living near Angat river and other low-lying areas were advised to be alert due to possible rise of water level in the waterway.
Those living in Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, and Hagonoy were also advised to be alert.
According to PAG-ASA, the water may be released anytime within the day.
