Iran’s deputy foreign minister pays courtesy call on Locsin

(Eagle News)–Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi has gone on a visit to the Philippines, and paid a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Thursday, Feb. 21.

In a brief statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said the Iranian official met with Locsin at the DFA main office.

The DFA said the two discussed the “status of bilateral relations between Manila and Tehran and regional developments.”

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1964.
