QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Former United States Secretary of State Madeline Albright called the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as well as the Maute Group in the Philippines an “infectious virus”.
“While much of the world’s attention is on the threat by ISIS, I’m keenly aware the Philippines and your neighbors are also under attack,” Albright said.
“They are more dangerous. They are the product of a set of perverse and ambitious beliefs that is like some infectious virus,” she added.
Albright also said that the terrorist leaders are using history to pursue their personal interests, convincing the innocent to join them while their real goal was personal gain.
