Japan and China hold diplomatic talk

TOKYO, Japan (Reuters) — Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Takeo Akiba and Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Xuanyou Kong held a bilateral talk in Tokyo on Tuesday (April 4).

The two vice foreign ministers, along with their government officials, exchanged words about North Korea’s nuclear tests, according to Japanese media.

A preparation for a possible bilateral between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping ahead of the July G20 in Germany is also expected to be discussed in the talk, local media said.
