Japan eases requirements for multiple-entry visas for Filipinos

(Eagle News) — Japan has eased requirements for multiple-entry visas for Filipinos.

In a statement, the Japanese Embassy said beginning Aug. 1, apart from the scope of applicants eligible for multiple entry visas being “expanded,” the visa validity period will be extended from five years to a maximum of ten years.

The embassy said the move aims to promote “people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the Republic of the Philippines.”

“(It is also) expected to contribute to (the) improvement of convenience for tourists and (to the) increase in repeat visitors..,” the statement said.
