OSAKA, Japan (Reuters) — A bath house in Japan’s Osaka offers a unique winter treat for children — a dip in warm water with over a 1,000 rubber ducks.
Bath house “Yuraku” keeps around 1000 to 1500 rubber ducks in the tub for guests to enjoy.
Children say they have fun swimming and jumping around with the floating toys.
“It’s really fun to be surrounded by rubber ducks and it is also refreshing to soak in a bath with perfect water temperature. I feel I recover from the fatigues of the day,” said 10-year-old visitor, Yuto Itani, who came after his boxing training.
Owner of Yuraku, Daisuke Iguchi, said the concept was started 12 years ago aiming to provide a unique bath-time experience for children with an amount of rubber ducks that they would not be able to have at home.
The rubber duck bath is also available for men and women, on a rotating schedule.
