Jaybee Sebastian says he was not a government asset at start of House hearing

(Eagle News) — Controversial high-profile inmate Jaybee Sebastian appeared at the continuing hearing of the House of Representatives on the alleged illegal drug trade at the New Bilibid Prisons, to testify, along with six other witnesses, regarding what he knows of the anomalies at the national penitentiary.,

Sebastian walked to the House committee on justice hearing, although he was initially brought on a wheelchair when he went to Congress early on Monday (October 10).

When asked if he was indeed a government asset at the start of the House hearing, Sebastian said he was not, contradicting earlier statements by former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.

“Hindi po,” he said when asked.

He said that was what he wanted to clarify in the House hearing.

The house committee moved to grant immunity to Sebastian on the condition that he would tell the whole truth.
