(Eagle News)–“Jenny” has reintensified into a tropical storm as it moved over the West Philippine Sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said all storm signals have been lifted but occasional gusts may occur in Visayas and in other areas of Luzon due to the southwest monsoon.
Today, light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will be experienced over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Mindoro Provinces, Romblon, and Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands) also due to the southwest monsoon, while scattered rains may prevail over Ilocos Region, Bangsamoro, Zambales, and Bataan.
As of 10 a.m., the center of “Jenny” was 305 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan or 290 km west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
“Jenny” is moving west northwest at 40 kph and is expected to be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility today.
