Apollo Quiboloy detained in Hawaii after $350,000, gun parts found in private plane — report

Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader later released

(Eagle News) — The head of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church was detained in Hawaii and was later released, a report said.

The report said Apollo Quiboloy, who calls himself the Appointed Son of God, was detained on Tuesday, February 13, after  Customs agents found  $350,000 in cash and gun parts on board a private Cessna plane carrying him and six others.

The plane, the report said, was bound for the Philippines.

The church leader–who was reportedly in Hawaii for a concert—was released after one of the passengers of the plane, US citizen Felina Salinas, 47, claimed the money was hers.

Local reports said the money was inside socks in a suitcase.

Salinas has been charged with attempted bulk cash smuggling.
