Iglesia Ni Cristo bags new Guinness world record for Largest Human Sentence

(Eagle News) — The Iglesia Ni Cristo added another feather on its cap after it bagged the new Guinness world record for largest human sentence on Sunday, May 6.

Paulina Sapinska, Guinness adjudicator, said the INC’s 23,235 participants who formed the sentence “PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF IGLESIA NI CRISTO” beat the 16,550 participants of previous record-holder, the Rotary International District 3000, Rotary Club of Perambalur New Gen, and Roever Group of Educational Institutions.

Participants of those organizations formed the sentence “You can you will” with 16550 participants in Perambalur, India on August 10, 2016.

The INC’s newest feat was achieved on the same day it held its Church’s Worldwide Walk to Fight Poverty  in more than 300 sites, including Manila, across 18 time zones.

With the walk, the INC also hopes to bag the Guinness world record for the largest charity walk in a single venue, and for the largest charity walk in multiple venues.

It is also the Church that holds the record for the largest charity walk across multiple venues held in 24 hours.

The INC also hopes to bag the Guinness records for  the largest picture mosaic formed by people, and the record for the most nationalities in a charity walk.

With the new feat, the INC now has at least 19 existing Guinness world records.
