Janet Lim Napoles has been provisionally admitted to the Witness Protection Program.

A certification signed by Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Ma. Nerissa Molina-Carpio, program director, said the alleged pork barrel scam queen was provisionally admitted effective February 27,. 2018.

Justice Undersecretary Erickson Balmes  said Napoles has executed an affidavit containing more details about the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam.

He said her affidavit though would be under assessment so it could be determined if she could be given full coverage under the program.

But he said “we can provide additional security and as warranted, address medical needs” if Napoles made the request.

Napoles,  who is detained in Camp Bagong Diwa, has filed an urgent motion for her transfer to the DOJ in light of the development.

Napoles is facing a string of cases before the Sandiganbayan over her alleged involvement in the multi-billion pork barrel cases.

The DOJ reopened its probe into the scam–which has seen at least three senators arrested—last year.
