(Eagle News) — A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Sunday night, minutes after a 4.9-magnitude one hit the same area.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the latest quake hit 26 kilometers west of Paluan at 11:49 p.m.
A previous quake took place at 11:20 p.m., 33 kilometers southwest of Paluan.
Depth of focus of the latest earthquake was at four kilometers, while the previous was at 1 kilometer.
An Intensity III was felt in Quezon City due to the most recent earthquake, PHIVOLCS said.
An Intensity II was felt in Tagaytay City, Calatagan, Batangas and Calapan, Oriental Mindoro because of the previous one.
No aftershocks were expected.
