(Eagle News)— “Karding” has slightly slowed down and is now moving in a northwest direction, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Thursday, Aug. 9.
Although “Karding” is not expected to make landfall in the country, PAGASA said the tropical storm and a low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility may enhance the southwest monsoon.
As such, scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains may be expected over northern and central Luzon beginning Friday, Aug. 10.
“Karding” is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning.
