(Eagle News)–Karen Gallman on Saturday, Jan. 26, was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2018, the first-ever win of the Philippines in that beauty pageant.
The Filipino-Australian beauty received the crown from Mexico’s Veronica Salas Vallejo, last year’s winner.
Costa Rica’s Adriana Moya finished 1st runner-up.
She was followed by the Slovak Republic’s Laura Longaurova in 2nd place, and Colombia’s Hillary Hollman Del Prado in third place.
Ngen Anh Le Au of Vietnam was in fourth place, while Ethiopia’s Bella Lapso was in fifth.
The pageant, which will be telecast on Sunday, Jan. 27, was hosted by Japan but was held at the Mall of Asia in Pasay because of preparations for the Tokyo Olympics.
Gallman’s win came only a little over a month after Catriona Gray, also of the Philippines, was crowned Miss Universe 2018.
