According to Margareta Walstrom, United Nations Special Disaster Risk Reduction representative, Leyte was able to quickly recover from the ravages of super-typhoon “Yolanda” in 2013.
She added that it usually takes 10 years to recover from such devastation. She took note of the agricultural investments implemented in the province.
