Leyte, still recovering from the onslaught of Yolanda, was not spared Typhoon Glenda.
Water overflowed in the Port of Baybay, and trees near residential houses were felled by the strong winds.
A pawikan was seen crawling in the streets, carried there by the storm surge.
The local government of Leyte has earlier ordered a preemptive evacuation, and all vessels were barred from sailing in anticipation of Glenda’s onslaught.
Leyte was one of the provinces badly hit by Yolanda, the strongest typhoon to ever hit the Philippines. (With a report from Janze Macahilas; pictures courtesy of Doreen Dañas)
