QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator JV Ejercito is encouraging the local government units (LGUs) to take a lead in the campaign against illegal drugs. Senator Ejercito said that LGUs should not depend totally on the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the eradication of illegal drugs and that LGUs should take part in the rehabilitation of the drug dependents that surrendered, including giving cash for work to said former drug dependents.
