(Eagle News) — The Liberal Party on Wednesday defended Senator Franklin Drilon from allegations he received a P5-million campaign donation from alleged pork barrel scam queen Janet Lim Napoles.
In a statement, the LP accused the present administration of being behind what they called the lies against the senator, who they said already explained his side on the issue.
“May pattern na ang administrasyong ito pag naiiipit: Nililihis at iniiba ang usapan,” the LP said.
According to the LP, instead of explaining or answering the accusations against them, the administration resorts to “accusations” against its critics.
“Pinag-iinitan ang mga hindi sumasang-ayon sa mga polisiya o ginagawa nito,” the LP said.
Drilon has denied Napoles’ claim, tagging it as “fake news.”
