According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the agency has already prepositioned twenty-three million pesos in standby funds and relief goods and non-food items for relief efforts while the Department of Health had basic medicine on standby.
The P25,034,400.47 standby funds will be provided as augmentation support to the local government units that will be affected by typhoon “Nona”.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said they are also on standby for humanitarian assistance and disaster response. (Eagle News Service)
