Locsin on three-day official visit to Hungary

(Eagle News)–Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. is on official visit to Hungary.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Feb. 14, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Locsin is expected to meet his counterpart, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, to discuss “bilateral relations and regional and global developments.”

According to the Philippine Embassy in Budapest, Locsin will also call on Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Laszlo Kover and will give a lecture on Philippine foreign policy at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

He will also visit the headquarters of the Hungarian Water Technology Corporation, it said.

“Secretary Locsin’s visit will provide an opportunity for him to share with Hungarian policy makers, business leaders, and members of the academe developments that have been taking place in the Philippines,” the DFA said.

The DFA said  Locsin will proceed to Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference after his Hungary visit.

He is expected to meet the Filipino community and inaugurate the newly-built Philippine Embassy in Berlin, the DFA said.
