(Eagle News) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has ordered Grab to pay P10 million in penalties for overcharging its passengers.
The LTFRB also ordered Grab to reimburse its passengers for the P2-per-minute travel charge through rebates.
It was PBA partylist Jericho Nograles who alleged that Grab was overcharging passengers, saying the transport network company should refund passengers at P1.8 billion.
“This is on top of its flagdown rate of P40 and charging P10 to P14 per kilometer,” Nograles said in a statement.
