QUEZON City, Philippines – Due to the reports of corruption in its re-sealing stations, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board decided to suspend the testing and re-sealing of taxi meters. According to LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra, the suspension will last until further advisory from the LTFRB and the government agency will not apprehend taxi operators with meters that were not yet tested and re-sealed. The Philippine National Taxi Operators Association gladly welcomed the move of the LTFRB to suppress corruption within the government agency.
