A magnitude 5.7 earthquake that was centered 22 kilometers south of Calatagan, Batangas struck around 7:52 PM Wednesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Initial reports from Phivolcs geologist Isabel Abiga stated that the earthquake has a depth of 36 kilometers.
A magnitude 5 was felt in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro and Batangas City.
No major damages or injuries were reported, but the shaking was felt as far as Metro Manila. Abiga said that they are expecting aftershocks.
Earlier, at around 7:29pm, Phivolcs also recorded a magnitude 3.1 earthquake near Dipolog City.

Malolos, Bulacan; Tagaytay City; Mabini Batangas; Indang, Rosario Cavite; Naujan, San Teodoro, Pola, Socorro Oriental Mindoro;
Intensity 3:
Quezon City; Pasig City; Taguig City; Manila City; Paranaque City; Bacoor, Cavite; Baco, Oriental Mindoro; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Talisay Batangas; Taal Volcano Island;
Intensity 2:
Binangonan, Rizal; Lucban, Quezon; Makati City; San Pedro, Laguna.
Intensity 1:
Caloocan City.
