Magnitude-6 quake hits Lanao del Sur-Bukidnon area

(Eagle News) — A magnitude-6.0 quake shook Lanao del Sur early Wednesday morning (April 12) at 5:21 a.m. and was felt in Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Gingoog City, and Misamis Oriental.

The quake’s location was recorded 87 kilometers west of Wao, Lanao del Sur. It was shallow, with only a depth of a kilometer.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that the quake was felt at intensity 4 in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cotabato City, Gingoog City and in Misamis Oriental.

The United States Geological Service (USGS) meanwhile recorded it at magnitude 5.8, seven kilometers of Osias, Bukidnon.
