QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Makabayan bloc in the House of Representatives expressed dismay over the cancellation of peace talks between the Philippine government and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines.
According to the group, the poorer members of society will be the most affected by the cancellation because the socio-economic reforms included in the agenda of the peace talks will no longer push through.
