(Eagle News) — The Makati Regional Trial Court has granted the Department of Justice’s request for a hold departure order to be issued against alleged drug lord Peter Lim.
Acting Branch 65 Presiding Judge Gina Bibat-Palamos directed the Bureau of Immigration to issue the HDO, as requested by the DOJ in an ex-parte motion, noting that Lim was a flight risk.
Only State Prosecutor Herbert Calvin Abugan was present at the hearing on the ex-parte motion conducted on Friday, Aug. 17.
Lim’s lawyer, Alex Francis Ver Lopez, was not present.
Earlier, a court already issued a warrant for the arrest of Lim, but he has yet to surface.
Lim, together with Marcelo Adorco, Ruel Malindangan and Kerwin Espinosa, is facing charges for conspiracy to commit illegal drug trading. Moira Encina
