QUEZON City, Philippines – Malacañang on Tuesday, September 7, released the guidelines regarding the proclamation on the state of national emergency due to lawless violence.
According to Memorandum Order No. 3 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, the state of national emergency will remain in place in order to protect life and property of citizens from possible attacks from terrorist groups.
The memorandum strictly reminded members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to respect the fundamental civil and political rights of citizens.
