Malacañang shrugs off martial law critics

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang is letting critics of the declaration of martial law in Mindanao have their say in the face of the decision of the Supreme Court upholding such.

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that everyone and anyone can say anything they want about the topic as this is guaranteed by the Constitution as freedom of expression.

Andanar also said that the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold martial law in Mindanao only proves that not only the legislature but also the judiciary favored the government’s declaration of such an imposition.
