QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang and the Armed Forces of the Philippines expressed their gratitude to the media and to the public for remembering and honoring the members of the AFP and the Philippine National Police who gave their lives defending the people and the government in Marawi City.
AFP spokesperson Brigadier General Restituto Padilla said that the heroism of the government troops should not be forgotten, and asked the public to continue giving support to them as they continue their fight in Marawi City.
