MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The City Health Office of Manila has conducted inspections of various stalls and stores selling milk tea ingredients in Divisioria, Manila.
Manila vice-mayor Isko Moreno accompanied the teams that inspected the ingredients for milk tea being sold in some of the stores in Manila. City health officials inspected if the ingredients in these stored had passed the food safety standards of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
The Manila City health office will also conduct surprise inspections of food establishments in Manila to check if they are following safety food standards.
As of now, the Manila Police District is still continuing its probe on the milk tea poisoning in Sampaloc, Manila that had killed two persons, including the store owner. It is still awaiting the results of the confirmatory testing on the milk tea samples of the Ergo Cha milk tea store where the incident happened. (Eagle News Service)
