(Eagle News) — A Manila court has ordered the transfer of an accused in the P6.4-billion shabu shipment mess to the Manila City Jail.
Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46 Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa said a commitment order would be issued for the transfer of Eirene May Tatad, owner of EMT Trading, consignee of the controversial shipment.
Tatad is currently detained at the National Bureau of Investigation detention facility since her arrest on February 2.
She is only one of nine personalities charged in connection with the shabu shipment that entered the country via Customs express lanes in May.
Earlier, a Manila court also ordered the transfer of self-confessed Customs fixer Mark Taguba to the Manila City Jail.
