MANILA, Sept. 20 – The death toll due to tropical storm “Mario” is only five, and not seven as earlier reported, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC made the rectification in a press conference at around noon Saturday regarding the death toll for Tropical Storm “Mario”, which ravaged Metro Manila and other nearby provinces.
NDRRMC executive director Alexander Pama said seven person were also injured.
A total of 118,839 families were affected in Regions 1, 3, 4-A, 4-B, 7, Cordillera Autonomous Region and the National Capital Region. (with a report from PNA)
