Mayon Volcano seemed to have quieted down.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), there had been no recorded quakes nor any steaming activity in Mayon in the last 24 hours.
This means that there might be no eruption in the next days or weeks, although it is still placed under alert level 2.
But Phivolcs said there is still the presence of eruptible magma beneath the volano, and residents are still advised to stay away from the six-kilometer permanent danger zone.
