(Eagle News)– Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte confirmed on Thursday (September 8) she has lost her identical twins and that only one baby in her womb has a heartbeat.
Duterte said she learned the news on Monday and cried all day.
“I lost my identical twins. Monday, I wasn’t feeling well, so nagpunta ako sa doctor and said I’m not feeling very good. So she checked and told me na-arrest na raw ang heartbeats ng identical twins, but fighting pa ang isa,” Duterte said.
“He or she is doing good as of Monday. So mayroon pa akong isa.” she added.
She admitted having a hard time due to complications of her pregnancy but promised to still do her job as mayor of Davao.
Duterte has two kids with husband Atty. Manases Carpio.
