(Eagle News) — The Manila International Airport Authority has released its list of operational commercial flights for Monday, July 19:

MIAA advised passengers to get confirmation of their flights from the respective airlines as it noted that flight schedules may change at any given time.

The travel ban on passengers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates has been extended to July 31.

The national government later said Indonesia was also included in the travel ban.

The Department of Health has urged the Philippines to prepare for a possible surge of COVID-19 cases following the detection of the country’s first 11 local Delta variant cases

Of these, two were in Metro Manila.

The DOH has said the Delta variant could be up to 60 percent more transmissible than the Alpha variant first detected in the United Kingdom.

While an Alpha variant-positive person could infect three to four people, a Delta variant-positive person can infect eight.
