Migrante International files ethics complaint vs Bertiz

(Eagle News) — A group of Overseas Filipino Workers has filed an ethics complaint against ACTS-OFW Rep. Aniceto Bertiz III.

In also seeking for Bertiz’s “outright removal” from office, Arman Hernando, chair of Migrante International, noted that his “conduct and ideals” are “unbecoming of an OFW representative.”

Earlier, Bertiz earned the ire of netizens after he was seen shoving his VIP pass in the face of a security officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport after the officer reportedly asked him to remove his shoes as part of security protocol.

Bertiz apologized, but said he was only protesting the fact that he had been asked to undergo the security check, but not the foreigners who went ahead of him.
