MANILA, Philippines, April 23 (Eagle News) — The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) expressed doubt regarding the report of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on the Mamasapano incident.
According to the DOJ report, the members of the MILF, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and other private armed groups shot the members of the Special Action Forces (SAF) despite said SAF members having surrendered.
According to the MILF Vice-Chairman for Political Affairs, it is doubtful that the MILF members would do such acts, and what had transpired in Mamasapano was merely self-defense on their part.
