(Eagle News ) — An Abu Sayyaf bomber with a P1.3-million bounty on his head was arrested in Basilan, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said on Thursday.
Brig. Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of Joint Task Force Basilan, said Rahim Abdul alias Aman Kabalu was apprehended at Zone 1 in Barangay Kampurnah, Isabela on November 28.
He said the arrest at 3:40 p.m. was made possible after a civilian positively identified Abdul, who did not resist authorities when accosted.
Recovered from the suspect was a fragmentation grenade.
