MMDA to deploy personnel in areas affected by ‘Nina’

 

MANILA, Dec. 26 (PNA) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will be deploying its personnel for immediate response in areas that are affected by Typhoon “Nina” (international name Nock-ten).

In an advisory, the MMDA said around 200 personnel, five military trucks and eight ambulances are on standby and ready to respond to emergency incidents.

Some twelve rubber boats are prepositioned on flood-prone areas while six floodgates of the Manggahan Floodway were opened.

Traffic enforcers can also be utilized as rescuers if and when the need arises.

The agency has also advised outdoor advertisers to roll down their billboards. (PNA)
