(Eagle News) — The Metro Rail Transit 3 management has reminded the public to remain from throwing trash in the vicinity of stations.
The MRT-3 issued the reminder after they were forced to regulate trains on the northbound and southbound lanes at 1:57 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, following the discovery of a cloth (“lona”) in the overhead catenary system at the interstation of Boni and Shaw Boulevard in the northbound direction.
The OCS is a system of overhead wires used to supply electricity to the trains.
The cloth was removed at 2:21 p.m.
The MRT-3 said normal operations resumed at 2:21 p.m.
“In view of this, we remind the public not to throw any trash..so as not to compromise safety and avoid disruption of train operations,” the MRT-3 said.
