(Eagle News)–The lawyer of Janet Lim Napoles reiterated on Sunday that she could not have masterminded the P10-billion pork barrel scam.
In an interview over dzbb, Stephen David noted that Napoles was a high school graduate and a “private person.”
“Paano naging mastermind ang isang private person na hindi nga nakatungtong ng college, para paikutin mo yung buong Senado o buong Kongreso? Parang hindi naman kapani-paniwala yun,” he said.
He said the previous administration only made up she was the mastermind.
Without disclosing details, David said Napoles has submitted names of those implicated in the scam, and of possible witnesses.
“Kailangan talaga malaman ng Department of Justice sino lahat ang involved. Tapos ive-vet yun,” he said.
He said the DOJ would later determine whether Napoles could be given full protection under the WPP.
Napoles is facing five counts of plunder and numerous graft charges across six of the seven divisions of the Sandiganbayan in relation to the PDAF scam. —
