(NEW YORK) The Brooklyn Nets came from behind to defeat the New York Knicks 121-110 in the battle of the boroughs at Madison Square Garden. With the Brooklyn Nets (13-54) being officially eliminated from playoff contention, the Knicks who are now 27-42 may might as well put themselves in the same position.
Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks were off to a hot start against Jeremy Lin and the Nets, but their lead slowly started to dwindle away in the 3rd quarter because of missed layups, jumpshots and everything in between.
Brook Lopez led the way for the Nets, in a come-from-behind victory over the Knicks with 24 points. Jeremy Lin had 15 points with 8 assists who set the tone and uptempo in the second half keeping the lead once they had it.
The Brooklyn Nets will be playing at home this Tuesday night as they take on Detroit while the New York Knicks will be on the road.
