(Eagle News) — The National Capital Region Police Office said it has made the necessary preparations for President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the Nation Address tomorrow, with more than 6000 policemen expected to be deployed in the vicinity of Batasang Pambansa.
In a radio interview, NCRPO chief Director Oscar Albayalde said the 6300 policemen were apart from the other security personnel to be deployed by other security units such as the Armed Forces of the Philippines, which will be deploying intelligence operatives.
“Handang handa na po tayo,” he said.
In fact, he said a “skeletal force” was already deployed in the area as of Saturday.
He said there were “no serious threats” monitored so far.
