(Eagle News)–Almost 700,000 people in Luzon were affected by the southwest monsoon enhanced by storms.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the 691,574 individuals come from the 469 barangays across Luzon.
This translates to a total of 154,671 families from the National Capital Region, Regions I, III, IV-A, and Cordillera Administrative Region.
According to the NDRRMC, of the figure, 22,648 families were in evacuation centers.
Over 14,000, or 14,229 families, were outside.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development and local government units has provided P14,685,597.24 worth of aid to Regions I, III, CAR, and NCR.
