(Eagle News) — The Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Federalism and Constitutional Reform program has a new administrator.
Interior Assistant Secretary Jonathan Malaya has been appointed to the position, DILG Officer-in-Charge Catalino Cuy announced on Sunday.
Malaya was Assistant Secretary for Communication and Capacity Development of the DILG before the appointment.
“As directed by President (Rodrigo) Duterte, the DILG needs to let the local governments and the ordinary people appreciate and understand how federalism will be able to change the course of our country and lead it towards development..And with ASec Malaya at the helm of the campaign, I am confident that we can make this happen,” Cuy said.
Malaya was assistant secretary of the Office of the President.
He was also executive director of PDP-Laban Federalism Institute.
