New passport, no extra charge

QUEZON City, Philippines – The government guaranteed that the new high-security passports to be issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will remain on its current price of Php 950 despite being upgraded to the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization except for the encoding of retinal print.

Other than the tighter security features, the new passports also feature the distinct regional cultures of the Philippines in its pages.
