Newly-appointed Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque conducts first press briefing

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Although he will formally start his duties on November 6, 2017, newly-appointed Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque already conducted his first press briefing.

Roque said that the President’s marching orders to him is to make sure that the public is properly informed of the President’s message regarding the running of the government.

Roque also said during his press briefing that he was chosen because he and the President share the same way of speaking.

“He knew what he was getting into when he appointed me. And that assured me more or less that I don’t really have to change,” he said.

Roque will replace former Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella.
