President Rodrigo Duterte arrived at 11:45 pm on November 17, 2016 in Lima, Peru to make his debut in the 24th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting.
Peruvian Minister of Culture Jorge Nieto and former Peruvian Ambassador to the Philippines Julio Cardenas Velarde welcomed the President at the Jorge Chavez International Airport.
From the airport, President Duterte was taken to the Melia Hotel where he would be staying for the entire duration of his visit.
The Chief Executive will be in Peru for three days where he is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with President Xi Jinping of China and President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.
