(Eagle News) — The National Food Authority (NFA) said it will start the distribution of the imported rice from Vietnam in public markets.
NFA Spokesperson Rex Estoperez said 222,000 sacks of NFA rice have already been delivered in Subic Port. An additional 100,000 sacks of rice werealso delivered in Surigao.
Once the unloading of imported rice is finished, some of the imported rice will be delivered in Bataan, Pampanga and Zambales markets, Estoperez said.
The official assured that NFA retailer in Metro Manila will also get the imported rice.
The NFA rice will be sold at Php 27 for the regular-milled rice and Php 32 for the well-milled rice.
